Soothing a flare is step one. Keeping it from coming back is step two.
Eczema-prone skin has a structurally weakened barrier — it loses moisture faster and lets irritants in more easily. That's why the cycle keeps repeating.
Used consistently, this balm works to reinforce what your barrier is missing: sealing in moisture, reducing transepidermal water loss, and building the resilience your skin needs to stay calm between flares.
Most people notice fewer flares within 4–6 weeks of daily use. The balm doesn't just treat — it trains your skin to need less treatment.
Two ingredients. One does the work. One does the damage control.
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) has been used across traditional Asian medicine for generations to reduce inflammation at the source. Modern research supports what practitioners have long known — it helps calm the overactive immune response that drives eczema flares.
Peppermint steps in for the immediate relief your skin needs right now. Its natural cooling action interrupts the itch signal, giving your skin a window to recover instead of worsening through scratching.
Together, they address the flare from both ends — the cause and the sensation.
How to use it
For active flares:
Apply a thin layer to affected areas 2–3× daily. Use immediately after cleansing while skin is still slightly damp — this seals in moisture more effectively.
For daily maintenance:
Apply morning and night to areas prone to flaring, even when skin is calm. Consistency is what drives barrier repair.
First time?
Patch test on your inner arm for 24 hours before full use.

Key Ingredients
-
Mugwort
The Skin Healer: Mugwort is an ancient healing herb renowned for its powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
It acts as a natural skin repairer, deeply soothing redness, calming irritation, and strengthening fragile skin barriers damaged by chronic eczema. -
Peppermint
The Natural Anti-Itch Savior: Peppermint provides an immediate, refreshing cooling sensation upon contact.
By gently numbing the nerve endings on the skin, it instantly short-circuits the intense "itch-scratch cycle" of eczema flare-ups, bringing quick comfort without harsh chemicals. -
Grape Seed Oil
The Lightweight Hydrator: This nutrient-rich oil serves as the perfect non-greasy base for the balm.
It absorbs rapidly into dry, flaky eczema patches to deliver deep moisture and essential antioxidants.
Because it is highly breathable, it locks in hydration and softens the skin without clogging pores or feeling heavy.
Artemisia vulgaris (Mugwort), Mentha piperita (peppermint), Vitis vinifera (grapeseed oil), Cera alba (beeswax), Mentha arvensis(menthol).

FAQs
Can I apply this balm on my face, lips, or around my eyes?
Yes, it is perfectly safe to use on your face, but you should avoid the immediate eye and lip areas. Because of the natural cooling and anti-itch effects of peppermint and menthol, applying it too close to your eyes or lips can cause a stinging or overly stimulating sensation. If you need a gentle skin savior specifically for eyelids or lip eczema, we highly recommend trying our Mint Free Gentle Mugwort Balm instead.
Is the Mugwort & Peppermint Balm safe for babies and pregnant women?
Because of the potent cooling effect of natural peppermint, we recommend this specific balm for kids older than 3 years old.
For pregnant women and toddlers under 3, it is safe to use occasionally, but it shouldn't be applied in large quantities over long periods.
For a safer, gentler daily alternative for your little ones or during pregnancy, our Mint Free Gentle Mugwort Balm or HEAL Treatment Focus Oil are the perfect alternatives.
(Note for breastfeeding moms: This balm is friendly to use, just remember to wipe it off prior to nursing if applied around the breast area!)
Can I use this balm on active eczema flare-ups with open wounds or bleeding?
No, it is best to avoid applying this balm on open wounds or active bleeding.
The peppermint and menthol ingredients that give the balm its wonderful anti-itch power will feel too stimulating and cause a sharp stinging sensation on broken skin. For active, raw flare-ups, switch to our Mint Free Gentle Mugwort Balm to deeply moisturize and soothe the area without any irritation. Once the skin heals and closes up but remains dry and itchy, you can transition back to the Mugwort & Peppermint Balm.
Can I use this balm to soothe other forms of itch, like mosquito or insect bites?
Absolutely! Thanks to the immediate cooling sensation of peppermint and the anti-inflammatory properties of mugwort, this balm is excellent for quickly taking the sting and itch out of mosquito bites, insect stings, and minor skin irritations. It stops the urge to scratch right away, helping prevent the bite from becoming inflamed or infected.
