Calming it down, and making it last.
Fragile, reactive skin has a structurally weakened barrier — it loses moisture faster and lets irritants in more easily. That's why the cycle keeps repeating.
Used consistently, this balm works to reinforce what your barrier is missing: sealing in moisture, reducing transepidermal water loss, and building the resilience your skin needs to stay calm between flares — without the cooling or stimulating sensation of mint, so it's gentle enough even for open, weeping, or newborn-fragile skin.
Most people notice fewer flares within 4–6 weeks of daily use. The balm doesn't just soothe — it helps build skin that needs soothing less often.
One ingredient. Doing all the work, No mint, no stinging.
Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) has been used across traditional Asian medicine for generations to reduce inflammation at the source. Modern research supports what practitioners have long known — it helps calm the overactive immune response that drives sensitive skin and irritable flares.
Unlike our Mugwort & Peppermint Balm, this formula leaves out mint entirely. That makes it the gentler choice for active, broken, or weeping flares, delicate areas like lips and eyelids, and anyone whose skin can't tolerate a cooling or stimulating sensation — including babies, young toddlers, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How to use it
For active flares (including broken or weeping skin): Apply a thin layer to affected areas 2–3× daily. Use immediately after cleansing while skin is still slightly damp — this seals in moisture more effectively. Pair with our Mugwort Natural Handmade Soap or Mugwort Castile Hand & Body Wash to further support skin repair.
For daily maintenance: Apply morning and night to areas prone to flaring, even when skin is calm. Consistency is what drives barrier repair.
For delicate areas (lips, eyelids, nappy area): Because this formula is mint-free, it's gentle enough to use as a spot corrector on the face, as a lip balm, or around the eyes.

It absorbs rapidly into dry, flaky patches to deliver deep moisture and essential antioxidants — locking in hydration without clogging pores or feeling heavy. -

FAQs
Can I use this balm on active flares where the skin is broken or weeping?
Unlike our Mugwort & Peppermint Balm, this mint-free formula has no cooling or stimulating ingredients, so it's gentle enough for open, broken, or weeping skin. It moisturizes and soothes without any sting.
Is this balm suitable for babies and pregnant or breastfeeding women?
Yes. This is our gentlest formula — safe for newborns, young toddlers, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It's particularly well suited to nappy rash and nipple sensitivity during breastfeeding.
Can I apply this on my lips or around my eyes?
Yes. Because this formula skips the peppermint and menthol found in our Mugwort & Peppermint Balm, it's safe to use on delicate areas like the lips and eyelids without any stinging sensation.
How is this different from the Mugwort & Peppermint Balm?
Both share the same mugwort base, but this one leaves out peppermint and menthol entirely. If you want a bit of cooling anti-itch relief, the Mugwort & Peppermint Balm is the better fit. If your skin is very fragile, actively broken, or belongs to a baby or delicate area, this Mint Free Gentle formula is the safer choice.
